Allena Mitchell
I am a passionate wellness coach, certified yoga instructor, and doula dedicated to supporting families during one of the most transformative times of their lives. I have been proud to call the Gulf Coast home since 2007, where I live with my loving husband of 27 years. Together, we cherish spending time with our family and friends, especially our delightful grandson, Oliver. I love anything that allows me to connect with nature—whether it’s dancing, reading, dolphin watching, or simply being outdoors.
Throughout my life, I have explored many careers, but none have resonated with me as deeply as doula work. My journey began in my early twenties when I had the honor of helping open a midwifery school in Arkansas. When I became pregnant with my daughter, Zoë, I chose a midwife for my own birth. It was the most beautiful experience. It was then, that I knew I wanted to support others in the same way. If I could go back, the only thing I would have changed would be having a doula by my side.
I am deeply passionate about empowering families to have a positive and informed birth experience. My mission is to help families feel confident and supported, so they can have the birth experience they deserve.
To ensure I can best serve my clients, I am committed to continuing to expand my knowledge and skills. I have completed the CAPPA Birth Doula training (August 2024) and the Grounded in Gratitude: Exploring Pelvic Floor Function workshop (November 2024).

I’m a mother, wife, coffee enthusiast, and a dedicated birth doula. I’ve called Ocean Springs home since 2014. In my free time, you’ll find me with my family, diving into something new to learn, or taking long walks through Barnes & Noble.
My journey into birth work began after the birth of my son in 2022. The invaluable support our doula gave to both me and my husband made a lasting impact – instilling confidence and a deep sense of readiness for my labor and birth experience. That powerful support inspired me to become a doula, and my passion has only grown as I hear more birth stories and connect with families and fellow birth professionals.
I believe every family deserves the presence of a doula – someone to support them physically, emotionally, and educationally – no matter what their birth choices may be.
I have completed training programs such as the CAPPA Birth Doula Training in August 2024, the Positioning for Success: Unlocking the Potential of the Peanut Ball workshop in October 2024, the Grounded in Gratitude: Exploring Pelvic Floor Function workshop in November 2024, and the Spinning Babies Workshop in April 2025. I am committed to continue expanding my education to better support my current and future clients.
